I had waited all week for this day...when it was going to be almost sixty degrees...I had all my "stuff" to raise the roof with. I knew what I was going to do, and I was STOKED about it. Then...well, it went a little pearshaped. Absolutely had good intentions...but folks, it's been a week. So...it's not that I didn't get anything done, I did get a lot done, just mostly didn't record the stuff I did that took some figuring out. Anyway...here we are. @FourWheelCampers⁩ has a great product...they hold their value very well, and while I'd love to have a new one, I'm havin' a great time with the one I have! Yeah, it could use some new things that I can't do...like some attention to the clear plastic layer of the windows, but...they're 21 years old, and they DO still work, so I have no real gripe. Actually, having a project to dig into, and being able to realize what "I" want is so empowering. If I had a new FWC, I wouldn't feel like I could tear stuff out, and paint, and fiddle-fart around with it, because it would be so pristine. Maybe later...when I grow up. haha...I'm loving making this my own. It's extremely well-built, and has held up remarkably well. This truck and camper have been all the way from Canada to South America, and it looks GOOD. I actually ran across the original owner in a Facebook group, and THAT was really cool. The guy I bought it from said that he'll be back in the country in April of '26, and would like to buy it back. Sorry buddy, not happenin'...unless there is some cataclysmic event in my life where I have to shed everything. (knock wood!) I've had some inquiries about my wish list. I went through my GIGANTIC wish list, and pared it down and curated it just for this platform. KNOW THAT I EXPECT NOBODY TO SEND ME ANYTHING. It's just a wishlist...it's not that big a deal, it's just...you know, we all have things we'd like to have, so I'm gonna share it. I'm not sharing my REI wishlist...because nobody can afford REI.
