Episode 3 out of 3 from our trip to Northern Spain. We were following top part of the Trans Euro Trail (TET), riding from Santander towards Portugal. Here are some things you may find useful: Trip Dates: 11th May - 23rd May 2025 (this includes ferry crossings) Total Distance In Spain: 1,521 mi (2,448 km) Total Trail Distance In Spain: 1,191 mi (1,917 km) Daily Trail Average: 125 mi (202 km) Most days we started riding around 9:30am and finished around 6pm, so we got between 7h to 8h of trail riding most days. Initially, due to the conditions, the progress was rather slow, but as the weather improved and trails opened up, we started making more progress. You could probably make a lot more progress with faster pace and more riding hours, but we wanted this to be a well-rounded holiday and not a race! 😉. We spent around 600 EUR per person for accommodation and food during the whole trip, which covered frequent eating out and mix of hotel stays and camping. This gives you an average of 60 EUR per day, which I think is pretty amazing.
