In this video i will tell you what i found when working with the element optics Theos 6-36x56 FFP. I will show you the issues that i feel are a problem. But this really puzzles me. You did not bother to get back to me on my mail to do a collaboration between ELR-PRECISION and Element optics. So I whent ahead and got hold of the Theos in a different way. Now to my question, when I was filming for my test and review of the Theos I could not undestand that I only got 23 MIL in two revelations, when it promised 29. Later, at the bench I stumbled upon 11 ekstra MIL hiding in a third revelation. As I was messing around with it, off camera, I took the turret of, moved it passed the 0 and could them get another 11 MIL of elevation. Can this be right that this is the way to access the full 29 MIL? Please get back to me as I do not want to publish a wrong or misleading test and review. If you do not get back to me within the next 24 hours I will have to assume that it is the case that, that is way to get the full MIL out of the Theos. And that will not be spoken of lightly in my soon published test of the Theos. ELEMENT REPLY I apologize but I am not seeing another email from you but will see if it went to our SPAM mail. Yes the scope has 29 Mils built into it but with the turret it gets the two revolutions which will get shooters to very far shooting distances. Most shooters also do not bottom out the turret and when zeroing the rilfe tend to use up 3-6 mils just to get the scope zeroed which still gives them the full potential of the scope. I hope this helps and again thank you very much for the support. Thank you, Element Optics MY REPLY Well, there is only two revelations for every day use. And that cines to 23.2 MILS or 232 cliks. When I read that there should be 29 mil I expect that there is at least 290 cliks in the turrets. Turns out there is a total of 34 MILS but I have to disassemble the turrets to get them. I have tested this and all cliks work, but still. I have had to take the turrets of to utilize them Then in my logic there is only 23.2 mil in the scope, there might be 29 but I can only utilize 23.2 in the two revolutions. I shoot ELR and always have a canted mount. I almost never zero my system @100 because then I know I do not get the full elevation from.any scope. So in konklusion it is correct that there is "only" 23 mils in the two revolutions an the rest are not utilizeable when just dialing for elevation. Thank you, Element Optics MY REPLY Well that is somewhat of a statement. I suspect, with that response, you have never shot longrange or talked to anyone that has. Well. I can tell you, that with a .338LM shooting a 300 Gr lapua Scenar-L from a 36 inch heavy comp barrel running 860 m/s zeroed @600 meters the 23.2 mils that 2 revelations gives me only is enough for 1800 meters. It makes no sense to tell someone that the system they are running is not set up properly when you only provide 2 revelations equal to 23.2 mils, especially when all the literature on the Theos states that I would get 29 mils. In this case it is obviously not true, and the consumer gets 5.8 mils less then expected and promised. By the way, all the longrange shooters I know zero their systems at the very bottom of the scope to gain as much elevation as possible from their scopes. When this is the official reply I get from Element Optics I have no doubts about how to portray this in the soon to be released review of a scope that can in no way meet the price tag put on it.
