Hey there everyone! Today I've got the second installment of 28mm faces for you, where we'll be covering additional shadow placement, blush, and lip color! As I mention in the video, any medium-dark red will do for creating blush color. We often need to go a little more red for a lip color that will show up. That's if we want it to show up; often, with male faces, we don't want it to, so you can just use the equivalent of a blush color for male lips. If you choose a lighter skin tone color to mix blush and lip color with, it tends to make the resulting color pinker, so I tend to use my mid-shadow skin color (in this case, Swarthy Flesh). As you can see, even starting with that darker tan, we can still create a very fair skin tone after factoring in how much area our highlights use up. If you wanted a darker tanned skin tone, I might actually start with a brown with something like Swarthy Flesh mixed in, to make our starting color a darker value. Then your highlights, in turn, wouldn't go up as high. :) Next month, we'll finish out the series by tackling eyes, eyebrows, and teeth! And in January, I'll do another video tackling dark skin tones on 28mm figures, since the colors you use tend to change a lot for that. Thanks for tuning in and I hope you enjoy the video! Happy painting, --Anne :)
