How can we restore a healthy ocean, and what would it look like? As part of our series on the North Devon World Surfing Reserve, we joined Dan Crockett of @BlueMarineFoundation on a trip to Lundy, a small island just off the North Devon coast, to find out. Lundy is home to what in 2003 became the UK's first No Take Zone – a small area of protected ocean where marine life is now thriving. Set up a dozen years ago with the aim of restoring marine biodiversity and developing alternative models to unsustainable fishing practices, Blue Marine has since been involved in the protection of around 4 million square kilometres of ocean.
