Re-uploaded video with complete stats (forgot the speed graph!): • 👌Summer 140 km/h range test of Tesla Model... Feel free to use my referral link to get 1500 km worth of supercharging while ordering Tesla: https://ts.la/volodymyr15420 (program is going to be cancelled soon). New Model 3 Long Range delivered to EU are still equipped with radars (until they repeat EuroNCAP tests for Tesla Vision), all are equipped with bigger Panasonic battery (upgraded chemistry) with NET capacity of 79 kWh (approx. +7% range compared to my car) and faster charging speeds AND heated steering wheel and added wooden trip on front doors. SR+ versions could come either from Freemont, CA (Panasonic battery, newer chemistry or higher capacity not confirmed) or Shanghai, CN (CATL LFP batter with flatter charging curve, superb SoC range performance and ability to charge to 100% without noticeable degradation penalty). Range is (after certain threshold) important only on the road trips. In everyday use EV drivers usually charge effortlessly and seamlessly at home or at work or both. So what is your preferred traveling speed (for cruise control) and how long do you usually drive before making a stop? Will range of 350 km at 140 km/h be sufficient for you? Will be able to drive for more than 3 hours without stops? Please let me know in the comments! Test bench: our main family car - Tesla Model 3 Long Range 2021 E5D (LG battery with heat pump). Claimed WLTP range 580 km (calculated under summer conditions assuming use of all energy available in fully charged battery). Stock 235/45 R18 Michelin Pilot Sport tires on Tesla Aero Wheels. Autopilot speed set to 140 km/h (GPS speed 138-139 km/h), most of the test done on A1 autobahn in Northern Poland. I use all the footage for this video to confirm validity of the test, trip stats and graphs provided as well.
