In this video, I show you a second alternative method for creating world maps on Excel data in r. The previous video that I made works fine for Rstudio versions up to 3.4. For Rstudio versions 3.5 and above you will need to use this new method is the previous one will no longer work. The packages that I use the previous video are no longer able to load or be used in the newest versions of RStudio. For previous versions of RStudio you can also use the process and code in this video: • RStudio - How to make world maps with Exce... Get a free stock like Apple, Ford, or Facebook worth up to $500 just by signing up and joining Robinhood using my link: https://join.robinhood.com/davidm16707 International Furniture Part Sales dataset on Kaggle: https://www.kaggle.com/dmaillie/inter... In this video walk you through completely step-by-step how to create awesome world maps quickly in RStudio on the same exact data we used before on the previous video. I also show you how to use the rworldmaps and rColorBrewer packages. We will use the RColorBrewer package for easily changing and altering color groupings and I show you the exact code and how to use that in this video. We also take the data and aggregate it by country and by city using the default aggregate function in r. I also show you how to summarize this data correctly and then to rename the columns using colnames. This way the title displays correctly on our graph or world map in the end. I also show you numerous tweaks to be able to customize the graph or map to what you want to see. Do you want to focus on the areas or countries or cities of opportunity (the lower sales areas) or on the whole spectrum or the high-end? I cover all of this in this video. I show you how a monochromatic palette like Purples can really highlight the differentiation between countries and how the spectral palette is very colorful, along with heat and divergent options. I want you to have multiple options for customizing your world maps to your specific likes and needs. This video is a complete walk-through just need to have RStudio and the 3 packages (rworldmaps, RColorBrewer and Readxl) installed and and you're ready to start creating some amazing world maps in RStudio. I hope you found this interesting and helpful. Please take a moment to subscribe, like and comment. I would love to hear from you. Thanks again and God bless!
