People are often told, "You need to reduce your stress." And the common advice includes slowing down, taking time off, taking a leave of absence. Or it includes adding things like yoga, meditation, which are what I refer to as recovery tools. If we are engaged in the act of living, we will always experience challenges, stressors, pressures. Many of which we can't just reduce. What we can do, is interrupt the stress response.
