Extreme Off-Road Ride to Kalapokhari Lake | Himalayan Motorcycle Adventure (Near Accident)

Mabu to Kalapokhari was not very difficult; however, after crossing the mighty Kalapokhri Lake, I believe that only expert riders can reach the highest peak. The road became extremely rough and steep, with loose stones and narrow turns that tested both our skills and patience. We were quite exhausted by the time we reached the premises. I even had a minor accident along the way, and the high altitude caused oxygen deficiency, so we couldn’t complete the video as planned. Despite all the challenges, we decided to stay there for the night. It was cold, quiet, and surrounded by the vast mountains, which made the whole experience unforgettable. Even though we were tired and slightly unwell, we felt safe and grateful to be there. Early the next morning, we woke up just in time to witness one of the most beautiful sunrises we had ever seen. The sky slowly turned shades of orange and pink as the sunlight touched the mountain peaks and reflected on the calm water of the lake. It was a moment that made every difficulty of the journey worth it. After enjoying a warm breakfast and taking some time to rest, we started our journey back towards our hometown. We travelled via Illam, following the same route, as the exit through West Bengal is currently restricted. The return ride was calmer, giving us time to reflect on the adventure — the challenges, the risks, and the breathtaking beauty of the mountains that made this journey truly special.
