Gerima Village(各日马村) is an administrative village under the jurisdiction of Tagong Town, Kangding City, Sichuan Province(四川省康定市塔公镇). It is located in the hinterland of the western Sichuan Plateau, with an average altitude of 3750-4300 meters. The red Tibetan houses in Gerima Village are scattered on the hillside. The houses are mainly low stone or rammed earth structures, with slate and wood chips on the roof, retaining the style of the ancient Tibetan village. The window lattice decoration highlights the solemnity of Tibetan religion. The lamas and the awakened mothers in the village wearing red monk robes are chanting and turning the sutras devoutly. Gerima Village is another Buddhist holy place in Ganzi area, second only to Larung Gar Five Sciences Buddhist Academy in Seda. Because many areas in the village are religious practice areas, those small red houses are places for practitioners to study and practice, so many paths in the study and practice areas are prohibited from entering and taking pictures.
