Zeus presents Combat School for the Arcade, a true classic from the golden era of arcade gaming which must not be forgotten alongside the programmers that were involved in making this game. Year of release: 1987 Loved this game on my ZX Spectrum back in the day even though I could never do the Mission stage (I can now though) but I never saw this in the arcades back in the day so thanks to MAME I'm finally able to play it. Originally this came out with a trackball control system and then a button version soon followed which made life a little easier. Take control of the Marine and pass the many physical tests before you face off with the drill instructor, pass him and you'll have the terrorists to deal with who is holding the President. Really like this game, it doesn't last long even if you can complete it but It's fun. If you fail on a later stage you may get another chance by completing the pull-up punishment stage, I have included that after the 3rd firing range which I deliberately failed on so it could be seen. Note: I stitched the Mission stage on at the end as I could never complete it after finishing all the previous stages so in the end I just went straight to the mission thanks to a stage select cheat in MAME, finally completed it and then stitched it to the end.
