Former Selv's 21st anniversary, remastered edition of his first (demo) album titled "Wandering In A World Without Gravity" crafts an immersive journey full of motion and color within layers of ambient frequencies and leftfield beats while casting soundscapes that blur the boundaries between melody and texture. "Endless Passage" greets listeners with atmospheric layers that slowly unfold, evoking a sense of floating in between spaces while you wander through a melancholic, dreamlike landscape. As the album progresses, songs like “Forbidden Peak”, “Forest Vox”, "Whydoido", and "Noctavia's Lance" offer a fusion of fragmented percussion and ethereal pads as each song unfolds. "Crimson Plateau" was originally recorded in 1992 using a homemade electric guitar, effects, and an analog 4-track cassette recorder to create this spacious song that emits rays of majestic wonder. "Machine Green" was manifested from a multitude of field samplings and contact microphones recorded from all areas within the Seattle city limits to create this beat-driven tune. The album closes with “Monki’s Tear,” which was a hidden track on the original (demo) release, is a morose meditation that’s like a sorrowful goodbye set to waxing and waning distorted tones that allow the release to come full circle. Despite its experimental leanings, the album maintains a cohesive flow. Former Selv balances moments of dissonance with passages of pure, meditative calm from memories of past lives.
