Black Friday - Watercolor sunrise landscape

I found some art paper in a community "Little Art Gallery". It was totally occupying the little art studio so I removed it and wil try it out for different style of art. It's Strathmore Bristol smooth 100lb paper. NOT designed for watercolor, but hey, I'm learning, so I tried today's watercolor on it. The paper doesn't really absorb water. But being the curious idiot I am, I pressed on. The end result isn't bad. I like the way my watercolor work looks on smooth paper. (I like how it looks on rough too). The smooth result also has its charms. This scene is Union Bay as seen at sunrise this morning from the Union Bay Natural Area Waterfront Trail looking east. I did see a coyote. And a man walking his black lab off-leash - VERY UNCOOL. Off leash dogs, no matter how well an owner says they can control it, are bad for the birds nesting on the ground, and a potential dust-up with coyotes bodes ill for all. I'm tempted to make "LEASH REQUIRED” signs and post them myself on all inbound UBNA trailheads.
