Don't pay cash at car dealerships! Here's why dealers always try to force you to FINANCE your auto loan through them. When a dealership finances your vehicle purchase, they receive a monetary kickback from their preferred lender or banking institution. Additionally, the dealership is able to upcharge your loan APR interest rate. The bank may offer a lower interest rate, only for the dealer to uptick it prior to offering it to you the consumer. Feels extremely shady, huh? It happens all the time.
