So I just realized that I hadn't ever uploaded any videos of this awesome Italian-made rain gun sprinkler before, at least not on YouTube. I decided to record a couple of different clips while it was doing its thing and watering the outer part of the lawn over this past weekend. I've had this sprinkler for years but it doesn't often get dragged out anymore since there's quite a bit of labor involved with hooking everything up. This is a turbine-driven rain gun, called the "River" (I have also seen it listed as a "P-190" before) and is made by a company called "Sime" out of Italy. These guns are incredibly popular in Europe, and are really starting to catch on here in the U.S. due to their zero vibration as compared to any other impact-driven gun sprinkler (i.e. Nelson Big Gun, Komet Twin Guns, etc). The built-in stream diffuser arm does incredibly well with filling in under the main arc of water intermittently when the cam wheel moves the arm into the stream momentarily. On this setup I have a 12mm (0.47") nozzle installed on the gun, which gives it an output of about 48 GPM with 50 PSI of pressure at the inlet. This sprinkler will typically achieve a radius of around 80-90 feet on a calm day with little to no wind blowing.
