In this video, I show how I run my trains in my N Scale model train layout, Wrightsville Port. Originally designed in HO, the design was adapted from Iain Rice's Coalport, MD 1941 plan. As a pure switching layout, I cannot run trains any faster than 15 scale MPH in most cases, and try to stay below 10 scale MPH in most cases. So, is it really possible to achieve such slow speed, crawling speed in N scale with a 3-inch-long, 2 ounce switcher locomotive running in conventional DC? The short answer is 'Yes' - and that's what's been demonstrated here. I will be creating a follow-up video to show how I maintain my tracks and locos, so don't forget to subscribe.
