Gauging depth of items can be a hit and miss with any detector on the market for various reasons, but with the Vista X we have gave you the audio option within the Threshold setting, with altering the Gain and Threshold to certain levels this changes the signal strength that allows your ears to hear different outcomes on a range of targets at different depths. This takes a little time to build up and understand by digging many targets and experimenting with the gain and threshold, but once you’ve built up an understanding of what the Gain can Threshold can offer on the audio and depth front then this will help you out when deciding how you set the machine up when digging targets at certain depths in awkward ground conditions, say like sun baked hard ground where you wish only to dig shallow items.
