A Love Note to France | Life Before & After Motherhood

Hi everyone 🤍 It’s been a while since I’ve been here. There have been some big life changes — we recently welcomed our baby into our family. After nearly a decade of living in France — and now stepping into motherhood — this love note to France reflects on a life shaped by a country that wasn’t originally mine, but slowly became home. To make this video, i dug deep into my archives of photos and videos as early as 2016 hence some photos/videos in this video do not have the best quality. Through landscapes, ordinary moments, shared meals, friendships, and memory, it explores a softer version of France — not the postcard version, but the one I actually lived in. The France of slow living, quiet streets, unhurried meals, old stone walls, and places that don’t try to impress. This is not a travel film, and it’s not a summary of my “accomplishments” abroad. It’s a reflection on change, on becoming, and on how a place can shape who we become — gently, slowly, without force. I had alot of fun making this video, as i spent time looking through all these memories. I’m looking forward to sharing this new phase of my life with you. In future videos, I’d love to explore topics like working in France, how I was able to take a year off work to care for my baby, frugal living — and how a slower, simpler life can be beautiful.
