🎥 Restoring a Broken YORK Bench Vise with a Failed Repair! 🛠️ In this video, I take on the restoration of an old YORK bench vise with a broken movable jaw that had previously been poorly welded. The faulty weld meant the vise couldn't close properly anymore. 🔧 Here's what I did: Removed and corrected the old weld, then machined the jaw for proper alignment Disassembled all parts, cleaned off rust and old paint Filed and flattened both jaws for a smooth grip Repaired a broken edge on one of the jaws Repainted, greased, and fully reassembled the vise Now this vintage vise is back in action — maybe even better than new!
