This video is a virtual tour of the beautiful and ancient Thaliyil Neelakandeshwara Temple located around 35 kms from Kasaragod town and at a walkable distance from Neeleshwaram bus stand. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva with Lord Vishnu being given a lot of importance. There are two separate entrances, one for Lord Shiva and one for Lord Vishnu. The Nileshwaram Royal Family who presided over Allada Swaroopam is the trustee of the temple. Their kovilakam is located just a few meters away from the temple. There are several legends associated with the temple and incidents of historical importance that shaped the area of Nileshwaram to its current state. We have tried to cover a little bit of this vibrant history and the beauty of Thaliyil temple in this video.
