Looking for multi-pitch rock climbing routes in Arco in Italy? Then watch this rock climbing video about Pantarei, which is a a 6 pitches, 180 meters, grade 6b+ sport climbing multi-pitch on the magnificent Parete San Paolo on Monte Colt just north of Arco. But before watching this multi-pitch rock climbing video, then remember to subscribe to the channel if you want to receive more videos about rock climbing and gear advice. Pantarei is a great introduction to intermediate grades (such as grade 6a, 6b and 6c) multi-pitch rock climbing as it offers a very diverse climbing experience. Pantarei near Arco is solidly bolted with a couple of meters between each bolt, and you will find in-situ gear along the way too. And all belay stations are bolted! But remember to watch this multi-pitch rock climbing video to the end, where I will talk more about which essential climbing gear to bring. 1st pitch: The first pitch traverse right on a slab up to a grassy ledge, where you can belay from. 2nd pitch: The second pitch is the crux pitch at grade 6b+ and is really fun. It follows a series of flakes that you have to layback, and finishes off with an overhanging corner. 3rd pitch: The third pitch starts with a long traverse on good holds, and then continues up a corner passing an overhang. 4th pitch: The fourth pitch is a long and pretty enduring corner. 5th pitch: The fifth pitch is merely a walk with a short steep section of climbing at the end 6th pitch: The sixth and final pitch of Pantarei is just fantastic! You rock climb a face for about 15 meters, the around a corner and continue rock climbing up another face – all on good holds. In terms of rock climbing gear we brought 12 quickdraws and our standard sport climbing multi-pitch anchor gear. So, three screw gate carabiners, a couple of long dyneema or nylon slings, HMS carabiner and you belay device – like the Petzl Reverso or Black Diamond ATC Guide. And there is absolutely no need to bring any traditional climbing gear at all. Pantarei is really well bolted and all stances have two bolts or more, so you will always feel protected.
