Tacloban City, Leyte 17 January 2015 Despite the inclement weather in Leyte, Pope Francis was warmly welcomed by the local residents during his visit to Tacloban City and Palo. But the Pope was all smiles as he made his way through the excited crowd using the pope mobile. One of the highlights of his trip was when he made a surprise stop at a house along Barangay San Jose in Tacloban. Pope Francis handed the Arias family, survivors of the devastation of Typhoon Yolanda, a rosary.
