Disclaimer: This isn't an actual category, I just made up the rules and did this for fun. If you have any suggestions for modifying them, post them in the comments and I'll think about the ruleset. Rules: No Dead Man Walking Glitch allowed No Dodge Roll Immortality Glitch allowed No superjumping allowed No save glitching allowed These are the three main glitches used in the Any% speedrun for Max Payne. There are some skips/tricks that are used in this run that don't involve using those three main glitches. While loading into P1C3, P2C2, and P2C3, we can spam inputs on the loading screen and there is a brief period where these inputs will be accepted and move Max accordingly. These are used to get closer to the end of the level with no time loss. The one on P1C3 is the most useful, as when it is done correctly, the boss fight with the Finito brothers is skipped entirely. There are other levels where we can get out of bounds by just jumping in certain spots with Max. On P3C6, we can jump on the benches on the 2nd balcony above the lobby and get to the outer edge of the balcony so that we can use a forward roll to get down to the lower balcony. On P2C3, when the moving platform stops, you can jump from the moving platform to a spot out of bounds on the roof and get over to the opposite door. I didn't realize you could just jump over to the other side of the roof which allows you to walk along the roof to get to the door, so I didn't use that in this speedrun but I will definitely use it if I do another one. There's another technique called cutscene stacking that can be used when there is some time between hitting the trigger for a cutscene to start and for the cutscene to actually start. During that period, you can reach another cutscene trigger so that the cutscenes will play over each other when they both start. This causes the cutscenes to end faster than it would take for the originally triggered cutscene to play out.
