Carrying out a basic engine service on a 2022 Peugeot 208 1.2 75 The non turbo EB2FA engine or HMH engine. Following on from the recent video of dissecting a Puretech here is one in to get serviced, thankfully this example has a low 16,000 miles and in that time already had 3 services making this one the first outside of the Peugeot dealer network. It is a simple engine to service, everything is easy to get to and work on. However i did find it disappointing that despite these engines having the wet belt (ie a timing belt that runs in oil) and how important it is to ensure the correct oil is used. There was no sticker or decal anywhere in the engine bay stating what the correct oil is. It really should have something along those lines. After a lot of trawling google i determined that the car needed 0W20 oil but then a lot of places are satisfied with just calling it at that but it seems to need to be B71 2010 This link is what i used: https://frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/vi... Given PSA historically recommended total oil, the oil used was Total Quartz Ineo Xtra First 0w-20 Advanced Synthetic Engine Oil PSA B71 2010.
