Located adjacent to the Muttukadu Backwaters, the Kolapanchery Lake is a freshwater heaven situated in Chengalpattu district. The lake was used for domestic purposes by several local residents. This caused a tip in the balance of the lake, making it contaminated and unfit to host natural life in it.
