This in a mix demo shows you what the Behringer SF300 Super Fuzz sounds like in a band context! A full demo of the pedal will follow soon - be sure to click the bell for a reminder of when that is posted... Please like and subscribe. The Behringer SF300 is a hard clipping octave fuzz with two fuzz modes, and a clean boost. Fuzz 1 features plenty of high mids, so it really pushes through a mix, while Fuzz 2 features a mid scoop, giving this mode a warmer, more instantly likeable tone. The clean boost works very well for pushing a valve amp into compresion/distortion - it can do this at low volume, and its a great, often overlooked, addition to the pedal. These pedals are amazing value, costing only £21.99 from GAK, Thomann (actually a little cheaper), Reverb, and a range of other places... Since Josh Scott, of JHS Pedals, mentioned this pedal in a recent review, some online sellers have these priced form £30 to £60!! Go get one from anyone selling them for £21.99, that's what they cost - they are great affordable pedals!! I'll post links at the bottom of this description... In a mix, both Fuzz 1 & 2 sound great! They have their own distinctive flavour and they both push through the mix well, though Fuzz 1 is definitely more prominent. Because they each have their own sound, Fuzz 1 and Fuzz 2 will not cancel each other out in a mix - this is fantastic news if you play with another guitarist - you won't be battling to be heard even with pretty extreme fuzz sounds. You could also blend the two fuzz modes these pedals in a stereo dual amp set up for a huge guitar sound. Recording: The Behringer SF300 Super Fuzz is the only pedal used in the demo. Guitars and bass were recorded through the Boss Katana 100Watt head. I used the Headphone/recording out to plug directly into the Zoom R8. Aside from a little reverb on the Katana Head, nothing has been added or changed after recording - no production, just a very basic mix, so you can hear the pedal as near as possible to the way it will sound out of the box. The main guitar parts, playing the Behringer Super Fuzz, were recorded with a 1985 fender Stratocaster. The strat has been upgraded with a Seymour Duncan SSL3 in the bridge position. I am using the bridge pickup for both Fuzz 1 & 2 demos. The guitar is plugged directly into the Super Fuzz, which is plugged into the Boss Katana. I used the clean channel, with a little reverb added - no other pedals or Katana effects were used to record the guitars. The backing guitar is a Gibson Les Paul recorded on the Crunch channel, with a little reverb, on the Boss Katana. The bass is a Squire P-Bass, which I recorded using the clean channel of the Boss Katana, again, with just a little reverb. I used a Rock patch on the Alesis SR18 for drums - nothing fancy. The Alesis was plugged directly into the Zoom R8. https://www.thomann.de/gb/behringer_s... https://www.gear4music.com/Guitar-and... https://www.thomann.de/gb/behringer_s... https://www.gak.co.uk/en/behringer-sf...
