Support this channel and become a member for just $1 a month!:    / @freighttrainproductions   On a snowy March afternoon, I made a trip up to Palmer Lake, CO, after hearing a SB coal load having issues getting up the grades there. While I am not sure what exactly happened, this load surprisingly already had a set of helper units to prevent this very thing from happening, and yet it still could not climb the grade. While I was unfortunately not able to get up there in time to see it happen, the SB coal load would end up picking up the Spruce helper unit, this time being an SD70MACe, to lead the train over the grade. Shortly afterward, the train departed, ultimately sporting a very uncommon 3x4 powerset. After clearing the grade, the train would cut off the manned helper units at Palmer to return them to Denver. Over the hours, this stall had created a bit of a traffic jam, and the next few hours were as "nonstop" as it gets here, with eight trains in just over 3 hours, some highlights being a GP trio, NS SD70ACC, C44-9W/ThunderCab SD70ACe duo, H2 ES44DC duo on point and much more!
