But you know it's not the one that I had in mind. Following my original music video for the New York Session of Idiot Wind, here is my second addition to a hopefully ongoing series of original music videos using historical/vintage footage to bring Dylan's songs to life. Brownsville Girl is one of my all time favorite songs. This is an early version of the song recorded for Empire Burlesque and titled, "New Danville Girl". There are spoilers for the movies the Gunfighter and Duel In The Sun, especially in regards to the latter which reveals almost entirely the movie's conclusion. I hope you enjoy the video. It's a bit different than the more abstract flow that I used to construct the video for Idiot Wind. But there was this movie I seen one time. Or I think I sat through it twice...
