In this video, student Rosa from Breda University of Applied Sciences shares information about the logistics engineering programme. The first year primarily focuses on introductory courses in logistics and economics, providing a foundation for further study. Key subjects covered include material handling, financial accounting, financial management, and operation management. The student particularly enjoyed the material handling course, which involved designing a warehouse. Throughout the year, guest lectures were conducted, often at the beginning or end of classes. The first project allowed students to choose their own topic, such as airline meals. Another project, called "bloco," provided an introduction to the functioning of companies, encompassing departments like sales, logistics, and warehousing. While there isn't a specific specialization in the first year, students can choose between management or engineering. Additionally, there is a project where students can select from four subjects, including healthcare logistics, events production, and transport. Moving on to the second year, it is considered easier than the first year, with more focus on specialization. Students delve deeper into specific logistics courses and identify their preferences and strengths. A transport project in the second year involved calculating and designing a route from various locations in China to Rotterdam, specifically by train, due to the opening of the new Silk Route. In the third and fourth years, students have the opportunity to specialize further by selecting an internship, choosing a minor, or going on an exchange program. The student opted for an exchange program at a university in Ireland, where they took courses related to logistics management. Upon graduation, the student plans to take a gap year and work on projects, including one involving a hydrogen-powered truck. Subsequently, they intend to pursue a master's degree in technology and innovation, preferably outside of Europe, and combine it with their expertise in ICT and logistics. https://www.buas.nl/en/logistics Follow our social media: / bredauniversityas / bredauniversityas / bredauniversityas / bredauniversityas
