Irish nationalist/republican bonfires in August, particularly on the 15th, were traditionally lit in some areas of Northern Ireland to mark the Catholic Feast of the Assumption, but that tradition has since been replaced by bonfires to commemorate the introduction of internment without trial during the Troubles. I don't like or support any bonfires. Very reminiscent of the Tower of Babel (It wouldn't surprise me at all if this is the real commemorative origin of bonfires in Ireland instead of mainstream and accepted revisionist accounts). Bonfires are tribal, divisive and destructive. A lot of history is fabricated & truth is camouflaged and concealed. Irish history and the origins of the conflict are no different. Society is deliberately disempowered. The real battle is spiritual (Biblical), not class, economic or political, but The Gospel of Jesus Christ; His Light and Truth. His Word has deliberately been diluted, muddied and tainted to Orange and Green christian identity in Ireland.
