https://github.com/MARKTHERENCE/LiveS... Here we have some riffs through a few of the LiveSpice schematics from MARKTHERENCE. I mostly tried the Marshalls, OEM and modded stuff. There's some bonus Diezel VH4 stuff at the end; I asked on a whim and the next day there were glorious new circuits to try. For the majority I’m using a NAM profile of Ceriatone EL34 power amp. Various IR’s were used, some Atlas 612 and YorkAudio DV77 stuff. The liveSpice matching PA clips are Atlas 612 V30 IR’s. The VH4 clips are Otto Audio O Rage 212 IR's. For the Spice poweramp reamps I boosted the distorted preamp signal about 25dB to hit the PA hard enough for character. This is an adjust-to-taste thing. Want more saturation, do 30dB.(or print your preamp signal in 32-bit with the pre cranked very high to begin with. Digital can be flexible. Similar with input gain. In general the signal going into everything was whatever the interface gives me at instrument level on lowest input. No level alteration until doing power amp stuff. I'm trying tones here, not trying to be 100% accurate or scientific. .. Yet. lol. This was recorded between November 12, 2024 and March 22, 2025. The guitar is a Schecter ATX-C7 with Duncan Blackouts. Direct into my interface and into REAPER with the LS circuit loaded. Everything was 8x oversampling and 64 iterations in LiveSpice. Any OD sims were at max oversampling as well. PA = power amp; OD = overdrive. NAM PA is a Ceriatone Chupacabra power amp or something from SlamminMofo's power amp pack. Boosts: The Mercuriall Greed Smasher, WaveMind Clean Boost and PTP DeadHorse OD were used. Maybe a TS sim too; I haven’t clarified unless certain (Which means when the DeadHorse was used lol. I’m bad at documenting all this). There will be a part II of this where we go through more complex amps, and perhaps some Spice vs TrueSim and Amplex. Really curious how those will stack up. As for the feel and tones, I love this stuff. In realtime it’s not that usable running at max oversampling especially with a large plugin chain. But for something you want to reamp later track by track, this style of modeling is probably the king. You can run a LiveSpice pre into whatever power amp emulation you have and into any IR or cab sim. I think at this point, there’s a world of excellent amp sim tech out there. It’s kinda hard to justify all the extra work for LS if, say, you’re doing a quad track session, but dedication (and computer fan noise) is definitely worth it. I love all the harmonic and complex gain structures on offer using Spice. Yes it’s cliche, everything claims to be organic, raw, harmonic etc. As I always say, it’s your choice. Plan your projects and decide what workflow and tones you’re looking for and go for it. — Stamps: 00:00 Dookie Mod, Chupa PA. 02:09 Dookie Mod, DeadHorse OD, Chupa PA. 04:08 (Incorrect) Fortin Cali, NAM EL34 PA of some kind. 05:40 (incorrect) Fortin Cali, NAM PA, ForteBoost. 07:57 Silver Jubilee, NAM PA. 08:48 Silver Jubilee, NAM PA, Shoeless Drive. 10:49 Park Rock Head, Shoeless Drive. 12:40 Andromeda Natural OD. 14:10 LiveSpice crate stealth gt50 Ch2, DeadHorse OD. 15:44 (incorrect) Fortin Cali Pre into NAM PA, DeadHorse OD. 18:13 Marshall JCM600 with matching PA. 19:14 Marshall JCM600 with 30th Aniv PA. 20:15 Marshall 6100 30th Aniv, NAM PA. 23:11 Marshall JCM600, NAM EL34 PA, DeadHorse OD. 25:29 Julio Dookie Mod, NAM Ceriaton Chupa PA. 31:40 Fortin Cali, Jose Mastervol PA. 37:34 Fusedbrain Jose Mod Master Vol V1, Matching EL34 PA. 40:19 Fusedbrain Jose Master Vol Mod V1, Matching PA. 43:04 Fusedbrain Jose Master Vol Mod V2, EL34 PA. 45:50 Fusedbrain Jose Master Vol Mod V2, Matching PA. 48:35Fender Metalhead, Deadhorse OD, NAM PA. 51:20 Marshall Jubilee Matching PA, DeadHorse OD. 54:05 Fortin Cali & Dookie Mods, tweaking and boost and whatever. 01:05:18 Pignose Lowgain, NAM PA. 01:06:10 Pignose High Gain (known error in preamp, fix in the works). 01:06:15 Diezel VH4 Ch3 (2011), Matching PA. 01:07:15 VH4 Ch3 (2001), NAM PA, DeadHorse OD & direct. 01:09:32 VH4 Ch3 (2011), NAM PA, DeadHorse OD & direct. 01:12:41 VH4 Ch4 (2011), NAM PA, DeadHorse OD & direct. #livespice #ampsims #ampModeler #plugin #metal #7string #schematics #tubeAmpModeler —— Unless specified I buy/am not sponsored for any gear used on my channel. ————— DAW: http://reaper.fm Guitars: Schecter ATX-7 Blackjack, Jackson Pro Monarch 6 OS: Win/Mac, primary Windows 10.
