Mt. Asahi-Dake Hiking | Hokkaido, Japan | Paul Akers I am in the northernmost part of Japan, Hokkaido. This island has a beautiful mountain called Mount Asahi-Dake, the highest mountain, about 10,000 feet. And I'm going to try to climb it today. I skied here for a couple of weeks a few years back. In most epic outbound skiing, you have to take a ropeway up, and then it's entirely out of bound, deep powder. But I decided today I would try to climb up this mountain, and I brought my guitar with me and had an epic time. I chose the perfect date bars and played my guitar all along the way and on the top. I just had a great time, just a fabulous view. Wow. Spectacular weather. A little chilly on top because of the wind, but it was beautiful. And it was about a six-hour hike total all the way around. I got to some hot springs and put my feet in the water. I took many beautiful pictures and videos of all the meadows and didn't see a bear up in this area. All the Japanese hikers wear bells. I didn't have one, and I didn't encounter any bears, but I had a beautiful time. Hopefully, you will enjoy the video. Remember to like and subscribe and pass this on to other people.
