Zerbus Matrix I has officially gone live on global… and it’s just as much of a disaster as we feared. I took the most optimized teams possible into this fight — every single unit fully Awakened to A5, max skills, perfect artifacts and gear — and the best score I could achieve was 76,524 mech fragments, less than 25% of the 320,000 needed for the top chest. On global, that score would currently rank #11 in the world, which says everything about how broken and overtuned this boss truly is. Zerbus has two forms — Bulwark (yellow, magic damage only) and Spellbane (purple, physical damage only) — and you must fight both. Even with perfect meta setups for each phase, the damage ceiling is brutally low and progression feels completely impossible. Below are the most meta team comps used for each side, and even they fall drastically short. BULWARK (Magic damage) – Cultist Team: Demi (Lord) – Ancient exclusive, top mage and best cultist lord. Vierna – Exceptional AoE burst. Anora – Great AoE + CC, bonded with Ymerit. Beatrix – Powerful AoE DPS mage. Ingrid – Off-faction Watchguard, included for raw damage. BULWARK – Esotericist Team: Cyrus (Lord) – Mandatory tank with crucial skeleton summons. Nerissa – Meta healer and support. Valara – Top-tier DPS. Elowyn – Strong support with Wood Elf summon. Eirlys – Off-faction Watchguard utility. SPELLBANE (Physical damage) – Starpiercer Team: Aracha (Lord) – Provides melee presence. Talula – Secondary healer/support. Erlang Shen – Strong DPS but not enough. Ardea – Solid DPS. Carnelian – Death-save support. SPELLBANE – Watchguard Team: Laya (Lord) – Burst healing, damage buff, and Rage regen. Ne Zha – Elite melee DPS. Kigiri – Consistent boss damage and minor AoE. Eunomia – Strong healing. King Harz – Off-faction tank (significantly weaker than Cyrus). Even with every top-tier unit fully maxed, the run still falls massively short. The current global best score is only around 108,000, and there’s a definitive ceiling to what’s possible. This content is horrifically overtuned, poorly designed, and flat-out not worth the time — yet here we are, forced to slog through it for rewards we can’t realistically earn. This is the full breakdown of what happens when even the strongest, most meta A5 teams in the game can’t break 25%.
