This is a very nicely built '40 Ford Coupe, perfect for someone looking for an elegant, understated, tasteful build that can be used regularly. The build on this beautifully built 1940 Ford Deluxe Opera Coupe for sale began in 2009 and was completed in 2012 to retain as much of a tasteful and timeless look as possible while modernizing the car for long, relaxing road trips. The car is beautifully finished in classic Yosemite Green and well-equipped. The exterior is beautifully finished in Ford's iconic Yosemite green. The panel alignment, fit and finish are excellent. Chrome, trim, and rubber were renewed during the build, and the Vintique running boards were installed. The car runs and drives beautifully with plenty of power and tracks beautifully, especially at highway speeds. It has the reliable 350ci small block with Ford insignia valve covers coupled to an automatic 3-speed transmission; TCI Independent Front Suspension, Front Disc Brakes, Power Steering, Pertronix Electronic Ignition, Lokar Shift Column Linkage, and has a WireWorks Modern Wiring Harness. It rides on P185/70R 14's upfront with P235/75R 15's in the rear. The oil was recently changed. It has a set of custom-made fold-away backseats designed for the builders' grandkids. It is well insulated and extremely comfortable to ride in while retaining a timeless, original feel. Inside appears mostly as original with its classic cloth interior but has a few goodies tucked away out of sight, such as an Airtique Air Conditioning mounted in the trunk with controls in the glovebox, under-dash turn signals, underdash ignition key, and a trunk-mounted Kenwood Stereo w/Remote Control & VDO Gauges.
