R.T. LIM BOULEVARD (ZAMBOANGA CITY) THROUGH THE YEARS

This video shows the R.T. LIM Boulevard a.k.a Cawa-Cawa Boulevard from 1979 to 2022, as we see the old boulevard and Regatta De Zamboanga in 1999, with the developments in 2011 and the Regatta in 2012, through the Zamboanga Siege then back to the development of the Zamboanga City Waterfront and Heritage Walk at the R.T.Lim Boulevard in the morning, sunset and at night. Last February 26, 2021, the Zamboanga City Waterfront and Heritage Walk Redevelopment Project was inaugurated by Mayor Isabel “Beng” Climaco and team, in time for the 84th Charter Day of the City. Also inaugurated on the same day was the Philippine Scouting Centennial Monument. There are now lots of palms lining the Roseller T. Lim Boulevard, commonly called Cawa-Cawa Boulevard as the redevelopment is part of the “Green, Green, Green” Project. **P.S. Roseller T. Lim is the first and only politician directly from Zamboanga to be elected to the Philippine Senate. This famous Boulevard has the view of the Great and Little Santa Cruz Islands as well as of the Basilian Strait… and is a relaxing hang-out place for many locals… a place to stroll or jog or bike … or just to sit down and watch the amazing Zamboanga City vermilion sunset and stay up to evening… even during the Covid 19 pandemic. Throughout the day, the boulevard shows a variation of scenes, but beautiful all the way. Hope you enjoy this!
