These bendy buses were put into action in Swansea in 2009. This necessitated a major restructure of the road system in the city centre to give the buses enough room to manoeuvre. This has resulted in a confusing road layout, resulting in pedestrians not knowing which way to look when crossing, and consequently several people have been knocked down recently (I saw a guy who had been knocked over by a bendy bus only a few weeks ago), with at least two dying. Finally, the decision was taken to take them off the roads, and they seem to have stopped running now. These clips were filmed a couple of weeks ago, for posterity's sake. They were quite nice-looking buses, and comfortable to ride, but perhaps not suited to this city, and by all accounts expensive to run.
