Date filmed: Monday the 16th of September 2024 Videos filmed between 11:19 and 12:28 Route: Medway Valley Line Wateringbury (WTR) Station Crossing type: Manually Controlled Barrier crossing (MCB) Filming location: Bow Hill, Wateringbury (ME18 5GA) An hour's worth of videos taken at Wateringbury Level Crossing on the Medway Valley Line at Wateringbury Station, controlled from the signal box beside it, featuring a variety of trains. As well as a couple of units (others passed in my time here but I didn't film them), you have a sight of a pair of 'Stone blowers' (used for ballast during track work), a loaded freight train to Allington from Whatley Quarry, as well as a light locomotive going to Tonbridge for a few hours after leaving its train at Grain Oil Terminal, where it would be filled with aeroplane fuel to be taken to Heathrow Airport (Colnbrook Oil Terminal) later that day. Quite a variety, really! This crossing will be very familiar to longer-term viewers of this channel, and I hope you enjoy this video!
