Representative Carey earned an ROTC scholarship and attended Marion Military Institute after high school and served as an officer in the military. During this time he also earned a bachelors degree from Ohio State University. Professionally speaking, Representative Carey became an executive for one of the United State's largest privately owned energy companies. He is an advocate for American jobs and supports coal miners as well as American energy independence.
