The film includes examples of bombs used in potential terrorist attacks, methods of prevention as well as example scenes of hijackers taking over a Lufthansa plane. It also includes interviews with members of the Lufthansa security team and psychologist analysis of terrorism mindset. Through an example scenario, viewers get a deep look of the various stages and phases of a terrorist attack on an airplane in flight. It opens with images of a passenger plane from the Lufthansa line (:19) and TAP Air Portugal (:28). Ground crews service fat tires (1:25). The narrator begins with a discussion on safety (1:37). A Pan American passenger plane (2:24) butts in as the TAP Air Portugal plane receives refueling (2:31). International methods to prevent and prepare for potential hijacking is discussed (3:06). Airlines added agents; known as Sky Marshals. Sky Marshals were first introduced in 1968 dating this film to sometime in the 1970's. Other preventative measures include the installation of technical airline devices (3:22) such as televisions in order to observe passengers (3:36). A TV monitor is installed behind the locked cockpit door (3:46). Special codes prevent general access the cockpit (4:00). Passengers move through TSA (4:21). An airline attendant waves a metal detector over bodies (4:31). Baggage is passed under x-ray (4:48). A series of monitors are maintained by staff (5:20). The head of the Explosives and Weapons Expert of the Federal Aviation Administration (6:03), flashes his badge (6:08) and inspects a suspicious parcel of luggage (6:15). A bomb is broken into five components (6:35) including a VARTA battery and a tiny container of TNT (6:47). A homemade bomb is pictured attached to GE circuit breakers switch (7:02). One is plucked from the belly of a red headed doll (7:19). Another is disguised as a pocket umbrella (7:33) and a pack of cigarettes (7:43). Altitude detonators (8:17) are explored; peas within a test tube are set to expand as the plane reaches a certain altitude (8:33). Parts of the bomb include the mercury switch (8:47). The Civil Aviation Security seal follows (9:29). An aircraft lifts off (9:45). A female stewardess (10:05) prepares for in fight service. A hijacker flips through a magazine revealing a bomb hidden underneath as a demonstration of a hijacking begins (10:10). He plucks a black revolver from his pocket (10:29) and attacks the stewardess (10:37). Other hijackers spill from hidden corners (10:43). Jurgen Loos; Chief Security of Lufthansa (10:57) explains preparations. Hijackers enter the cockpit (11:21). Wolfgang Salewski (11:44) explains the psyche of the terrorist and how to react to a terrorist attack. Crew members tend to passengers (12:49). The hijacker sets a gun to the black of the pilot’s neck (13:44). He informs guests (13:53) of the unfolding nightmare. A phase of relaxation enters (14:40). They stick explosive charges within the aircraft (15:15). Terrorists detail their goals, the pilot radios (15:49) ground control and passengers.
