Arendal Sound 1528 Tower 8 Speakers First Listen & Overview

@ArendalSound introduced its new upscale 1528 Series loudspeakers. These high-end speakers are large, powerful, and technologically advanced. The lineup includes the 1528 Tower 8 ($9,500/pair), the 1528 Monitor 8 ($5,900/pair), the 1528 Bookshelf 8 ($4,500/pair), the 1528 Slim 8 ($3,500/pair), the 1528 Center+ 8 ($4,700 each), and the 1528 Center 8 ($2,900 each). In this video, we take a look at the Tower 8—a 53" tall behemoth featuring four 8" high-excursion aluminum bass drivers, a 5 1/4" carbon-graphene high-output midrange driver, and a sweet-sounding 1" lithium-magnesium tweeter in a waveguide that ensures seamless integration with the midrange. The baffle is curved for time alignment and aesthetic appeal, while the cabinets are constructed of multi-layer HDF, giving them a commanding presence and tipping the scales at 175 lbs each. Don Dunn and I were impressed by the bass extension measured @Youthman place, with real, usable in-room bass reaching down to 17Hz!
