#TheMuseumsLab is a platform for joint learning, exchange and continuing education on the future of museums in both Africa and Europe. The programme started in 2021 has the aim to establish close and lasting networks between future shapers of museum concepts on both sides. #TheMuseumsLab was developed by the five founding partners: the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin (MfN), the Master‘s Programme in Museum Management and Communication at the University of Applied Sciences Berlin (HTW) and the African consultancy group The Advisors. The programme of 2022 takes place in close cooperation with the University of the Western Cape (UWC), the Goethe-Institute Johannesburg as well as several African and European museums and cultural institutions. The project is financed by the German Federal Foreign Office and the German Minister of State for Culture and the Media and supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. // Programme // 19:30 CEST – Welcome Moderator: Amira El Ahl Katja Keul (State Minister, German Federal Foreign Office) – tbc Claudia Roth (Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media of Germany) Dirk Meyer (Director General Global health; employment; transformation of the economy; digital technologies; food and nutrition security, German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development) Prof. Johannes Vogel, PhD (Director General, Museum für Naturkunde Berlin) 19:45 CEST – Panel discussion with Fellows of this year's programme Moderator: Facil Tesfaye (TheAdvisors) 20:30 CEST – Q&A session Find out more about TheMuseumsLab, our events and projects on our website: https://themuseumslab.org Find TheMuseumsLab on: / themuseumslab / themuseumslab
