This has been my workhorse for over ten years. I bought it used and it's a very basic model. Esab Lka 240 with ten amp settings, stepless wire weed adjustment and a spot welding/tagging feature. Previous owner messed up the covers with some kind of pickling acid. The paint is coming off and there's rust under the paint. There was something wrong with the wire feed adjuster. I measured the potentiometer leads and it was broken. It wasn't working all the time. I replaced it with a new one and now it's working great. Never done a bodywork for a mig welder before  I'm not sure is it a crime to paint Esab welder red :) But that's all I had. (and I'm not a big fan of yellow) I had some problems with the spray gun and ended up with some orange peel. I painted the parts outside so there's a couple mosquitoes as well I guess the paint job is good for a mig welder. I painted the plastic parts with black texture paint. I wish I had used a bigger nozzle for that, but it came out okay. I replaced the ground cable and the clamp. Also replaced the power cable with a longer one. Tested the gas hose with soap water and made some improvements. I'm using co2 for mig welding. That's cheap and I can fill the bottle close to my workshop. There's a fire extinguisher service near by. I've been eagerly wanting to fabricate something, not just organizing the workshop all the time. So I made a cable holder for the mig welder. Now the welding machine looks better and it's ready for work again. Thanks for tuning in to my workshop! Consider to subscribe and leave a comment and like! Thanks and Cheers! -T-handle
