This is my review of the EGO CS1800E 56V chainsaw, and overall I’ve been very happy with it. The saw has plenty of power for domestic use, starts instantly, and is much quieter than petrol chainsaws. Not having to deal with fuel mixing, pull starts, or petrol issues is a huge plus. For general yard work, firewood, and property maintenance, it performs exactly as you’d expect. Once again, the biggest downside for me is the servicing side. If something goes wrong, having to take it to an electrical distributor rather than a traditional mower or chainsaw repair shop can be frustrating. Personally, I prefer being able to walk into a mower place and get tools serviced quickly. If I were buying all new tools from scratch, I’d likely lean toward Stihl, mainly due to their strong dealer network and easier servicing — especially for anyone doing heavier or ongoing work. That said, if you already own EGO tools, this chainsaw is a great addition.
