A tribute to Liam and Sara set to Safe by Banners. Rated T. Lyrics in CC. Making this has given me a new appreciation for Liam Kosta. Like PeeBee, Liam is impulsive. Unlike PeeBee, Liam is openhearted and trusting. He wants to make Heleus a home for everyone, and tries to bridge the gap between the Initiative and the Angara in every way he can. This unguarded outlook also extends to his love life. Liam wears his heart on his sleeve; he likes sappy movies and cries at sunrises, and he just wants to share everything with Sara. Everything. All. The. Time. He embraces Sara for who she is, even going so far as to accept SAM's presence during their private moments just because SAM is part of her. While Cora may support Scott even when she disapproves of him, Liam supports Sara because he approves of everything she is. For a Sara who feels she has to earn her father's affection, this unconditional love must be like falling into the unknown. I think Liam would be happiest if he were to marry into a big, demonstrative, Angaran family; hopefully Sara can learn how to return his love without judging. Like Carrot says, "Simple doesn't mean stupid." The things I associate with Liam now besides his horrible couch are: arm punches, surviving falls and unwarranted optimism.
