-- Houston Astros vs Boston Red Sox Full Game Highlights from September 8, 2018 -- Patreon: / truergm MyBookie sportsbook: http://bit.ly/2z5DkJk After the Astros took the first two games of the series, the Red Sox sent Rick Porcello to the hill to try and avoid the sweep. Boston got some early run support for Porcello, after a Xander Bogaerts single in the 1st scored Mookie Betts. The Astros immediately answered in the 2nd, on a Marwin Gonzalez solo shot to left to tie the game at 1. The Red Sox were able to grow a bit of a lead, courtesy of 4 RBI by JD Martinez. Martinez hit a sac-fly in the 3rd to score Betts, and then hit a 3-run homer in the 5th scoring Betts and Andrew Benintendi. The Astros had a big 6th inning to claw their way back, beginning with a leadoff homerun by Jose Altuve. Tyler White hit a double that scored Yuli Gurriel and Carlos Correa, and Josh Reddick brought in White with a double of his own to tie the game at 5. The Red Sox were able to load the bases with only 1 out in the 8th, but Tony Sipp came in and struck out Blake Swihart and Christian Vasquez to avoid any damage. Hector Rondon wasn't so lucky in the bottom of the 9th. After singles by Benintendi and Martinez, Mitch Moreland singled to left to walk it off for the Red Sox, and salvage the series finale by a final score of 6-5. ------------------------------------------- Follow us on Social Media!
