I got the piezo pickup for £6 to use for sound design projects. I'm impressed with the build quality and the low noise output. The sound quality, however left a lot to be desired, at least when used on guitar. I tried multiple positions, the piezo still had very little high end and a muddy low end. If you're looking for a cheap way of amplifying a purely acoustic guitar then this will do the job, but if you have nice instrument then you're really going to benefit from an on board/sound hole pickup (and there are certainly ones much better than the Taylor's on board system).
