Color: Magnetic Black Pearl (red...I'm sorry, "scarlet ember" is an extra $395) Charcoal cloth seats Wheels: 16 inch aluminum wheels MSRP: $22,340 (base model) For comparison, the Rogue starts at $25,020 The Rogue Sport is slightly smaller and has a 2.0 liter engine compared to the Rogue's 2.5 liter 4-cylinder. And if you're curious, the cheapest and smallest SUV Nissan makes is the "Kicks" which retails for around $18,640 HISTORY: Nissan has been making the Rogue since about 2007, but only started making the Rogue Sport in 2017. So this is still a fairly new vehicle. UNDER THE HOOD: Engine: 2.0L DOHC 160-valve 4-cylinder Transmission: Xtronic CVT (continuously variable transmission) with manual shift Horsepower: 141 hp at 6,000 rpms MPG City: 25 MPG Highway: 32 Combined MPG: 28 Fuel Tank Capacity: 14.5 gallons Cost for a full tank: Regular unleaded gas. $3.12/gallon x 14.5 = $45.24 HANDLING: Good. Corners well. Feels comfortable around long curves at high speeds. And you don't feel the bumps in the road too severely. ACCELERATION: Fair. The Rogue Sport is fairly quick, but it's not fun. For a smaller SUV like this, I really was expecting something much quicker off the line. But it performed fine in daily driving. Just don't expect to be the quickest car on the road. CABIN NOISE: Decent. I did have to bump up the volume on the interstate, but only by about 10%.
