Restoring Andean ecosystems with local communities

In March of this year some of our team embarked on a trip to Peru to visit our reforestation partners, Global Forest Generation, and their restoration initiative - Acción Andina 🌱 Acción Andina is an initiative being delivered across the Andes in South America by local partners to conserve and restore native Polylepis forests. It was co-founded by Global Forest Generation and ECOAN, and the initiative won an Earthshot Prize Winner in 2023 and was also announced as a United Nations World Restoration Flagship earlier this year. We’re very excited to release this video from the trip in which Constantino Aucca Chutas and Florent Kaiser, the co-leads of Acción Andina, explain the importance of working closely with local communities to ensure the success of restoration projects. It was a brilliant site visit which meant so much to our team.
