Had a long Friday night and had to fix one of my front tires due to it loosing air, so I've started this trip late. But boy, oh, boy, do I not regret it. A very good friend of mine recommended a new place near (really near) Cluj, named Trovantland and I've decided to go and check it out. That place is simply amazing and the staff who were doing the finishing touches there (will be the staff who will also take care of people) are just incredible and very friendly people. I've had a great time and got offered some insights in the future projects to be carried out along the years (for now, I will not uncover such plans) and... All I can say is that I am really impatient to see what this place will turn into! I would like to recommend everyone to go and check out Trovantland for themselves and decide whether my enthusiasm is rightful or not. Trovantland opens on the 29th of may, based on what I've been told. Afterwards I've continued my journey passing the great crack within the mountains (Cheile Turzii), passing the large fishing lakes near the highway, towards Savadisla. There is a little place there called Tamás Bistro which is an extraordinary place. You can just feel huge parts of the local traditions and folklore radiating out of every square inch. The decoration, the furniture... They also have accomodation. It's incredible, like a little treasure box hidden in plain sight. 10/10 would visit again. Finally, I've stopped for a tiny bit in Mera since I needed to pick up some soft drinks I like, and since it was not far from the main road, why not make a short detour? Mera is a great little village I would recommend anyone to visit :) My final stop before my arrival is next to a place called Motor Rock Bistro. I really feel sorry it didn't open this year, but, I have my hopes high since rumor has it that it will reopen some time in June. I can't wait... The food, the drinks, the music \m/ Also, thank you Cata for the sour veggies, they're delicious! tl;dr: Go visit Trovantland! Go visit Cheile Turzii! Go visit Savadisla and Tamás Bistro! Go visit Mera! Go visit Motor Rock Bistro! (whenever it opens) You will not regret it. About that cat, I've managed to avoid it...
