inspired by evil anvil and zzp iii / discord Scorched Life Premise: Most mechanics involve fire or are based around it. Every player starts with 4 (technically 5) lives. Starting from Wax, to Yellow, to Orange, to Red, and finally to Grey (Ashen). Ashen players cannot interact with the world, as they are in adventure mode, with resistance V and slowness II. After dying and becoming an ashen, they drop their items. Ashen players will perish at the end of the session, however there is a way to prevent this. Reigniting: If a Red name kills a Wax, Yellow, or Orange name, they can choose to turn an Ashen player back to red. This can ONLY be done during the session when the Ashen has died, as after the session, they sizzle out and become a spectator. You can only reignite someone in the same session you got the kill. The Charred (Boogeyman): Basic Boogeyman rules (Wax, Yellow, and Orange can roll The Charred), but The Charred has automatic fire aspect . If they don't get their kill, not only do they lose a life but they also permanently lose the ability to reignite their allies. There are 4-5 Charred per session. The Ember: After session one, one random player each session is selected as The Ember. (Wax, Yellow, and Orange can roll The Ember) The goal of the ember is to survive until the end of the session without dying once. During the session, the ember takes half a heart of damage every 40 seconds, akin to being burned. The Ember is not revealed publicly, so players must deduce who The Ember is based on their ticking fire damage. If the ember chooses to tell someone, they can have up to ONE person protect them from being killed. ANY amount of people can attack the ember. The reward for killing the Ember is gaining a life. The reward for surviving as an ember is automatic reignition on your final life, as well as two extra hearts.
